  I have extensions in my hair and I just stopped by the salon to get some length cut. Lady #1 said that it wasn't a problem, took my name and phone number, entered my info into the system and sat me in her chair. As soon as she put my cape on, Lady #2 who was in the back with another customer, told Lady #1 that they couldn't cut my hair and to ask Lady #3. Lady #2 asked Lady #3 who mumbled something under her breath that essentially sounded like, I don't know, and then Lady #1 came to me and said that she couldn't cut my hair. I asked why not and she said because "if we mess it up we're not going to buy you more hair". I asked what the difference is between cutting extensions and cutting real hair?! She said, " We can fix real hair". At that point I got up and left. I went outside still dumbfounded by her response and decided I needed clarification, so I went back in and Lady #3 met me at the front counter. I told her I needed clarification on why they couldn't cut my hair. She said, " We're not allowed to cut extensions". When asked why not, she fumbled and stumbled and finally came up with, "because it dulls our scissors". So first it was because they might mess up (sign #1 never to go there), and then it's because it'll dull the scissors. Got it. First and last time attempt to support that local business.
